Hamster Kombat prepares for its token launch at the end of July. The big question is: what will the token’s price be at launch?
With its 250 million user base, the potential impact on HMSTR’s value is significant. Despite the hype, critical details about its tokenomics remain undisclosed.
Bybit has already listed HMSTR in its pre-market phase. They speculate a total supply of 10 billion tokens for initial valuation purposes. However, this number can change once the project reveals official information.
Some may think HMSTR tokens will correspond directly to the user’s coin balance. The system, though, considers player activity and hourly revenue to incentivize gameplay.
Hamster Kombat features a tiered ranking system: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Epic, Legendary, Master, Grandmaster, and Lord. There is also an eleventh rank, Creator, for the game’s creators.
We examined the distribution of Hamster Kombat’s user base across these ranks, structured so that higher ranks have fewer users. We analyzed revenue data for the top 100 users in each rank.
For instance, the top Bronze user earns 33,612 coins per hour, while the 100th user earns 8,189 coins per hour. We averaged the revenue for the top 100 users in each rank to gauge earnings at higher ends.
To estimate average revenue for all users within each rank, we assumed users beyond the top 100 earn less progressively. We approximated this average to be half of the top 100 users’ average revenue.
With these estimates, the total hourly revenue for Hamster Kombat users is approximately 21.89 trillion coins. If 1 HMSTR equals 1 coin of revenue per hour, the total supply would be 21.89 trillion HMSTR tokens.
Given the broad user base, a market cap of around $2 billion seems plausible. This would place HMSTR at the top of the gaming category on CoinMarketCap. Dividing $2 billion by 21.89 trillion HMSTR tokens, the token price would be approximately $0.0000913 per HMSTR.
If the distribution model is such that 1 HMSTR equals 10,000 coins per hour, the total supply would drop to 2.189 billion tokens. Dividing a $2 billion market cap by 2.189 billion HMSTR tokens, the price approximates $0.914 per HMSTR.
Currently, in Bybit’s pre-market trading, prices range from $0.001 to $1.00, with the last traded price at $0.225. These pre-market prices may not reflect actual prices at launch.
Post-launch, many players might sell their tokens, generating significant sell orders. While some may play for fun, many will likely convert earnings to cash, driving prices down. This could potentially halve the price to around $0.457 per HMSTR, assuming 10,000 coins per hour equals 1 HMSTR.
